Sydney Contemporary 2020 (cancelled)
Sydney Contemporary 2019
The reach of Michael Reid’s influence at Sydney Contemporary 2019 was broad. We committed to the largest booth we have every occupied at the fair and worked with Installation Contemporary and Joan Ross to deliver the very first immersive virtual reality artwork to show at Sydney Contemporary.
The booth exhibited work by Alesandro Ljubicic, Marc Etherington, John Honeywill and Joan Ross. Also exhibiting were Petrina Hicks, Joseph McGlennon and the highly anticipated new series of photographs by Dr. Christian Thompson AO.
REID FAIR NOW was launched, an online virtual art fair booth, the first of its kind. This new and exciting platform is one we will feature at future art fairs.
Melbourne Art Fair 2018
Following a breif hiatus, Melbourne Art Fair returned in 2018, and so began discussion about how we could present an art experience unlike any other exhibitor at the fair.
Partnering with Thomas Hamel Interiors, we executed a fully immersive art and interior design experience: the breathtaking revival of ‘the gentleman’s library’.
Sydney Contemporary 2018
Sydney Contemporary 2018 was a landmark creative endevour for Michael Reid Sydney + Berlin. The use of bold colour and an unconventinal booth design attracted high praise from fellow exhibitors, fair organisers and the general public.
We achieved record sales results and hosted private corporate events for Morgans as well as for our Art Signifikant members.
Nine artists exhibited at the fair in 2018. Marc Etherington, Alesandro Ljubicic, Dr. Christian Thompson AO, Petrina Hicks, Joan Ross, Jordan Richardson, Robert Malherbe, John Honeywill and Michael Peck.
